Horizontal Transfer and Private Student Procedures for Students Studying in Ukraine

In order to transfer to higher education institutions in our country, students in the preparatory class, intermediate classes and final year of the higher education institution registered abroad, provided that it is recognized by the Council of Higher Education and registered in a diploma program, can apply for horizontal transfer to our university within the framework of the conditions in the ÖSYS/YKS Guide.

In this context, in evaluating the horizontal transfer applications of students enrolled in formal education programs of higher education institutions in Ukraine;

* Must have taken the ÖSYS/YKS exam in the registration year. Moreover ;

• Success order requirement for programs requiring success ranking in ÖSYS/YKS,
• The requirement to have the lowest base score of the equivalent diploma programs in the relevant year in Turkey in fields where success order is not required in ÖSYS/YKS,
• For special talent programs, the requirement for universities to have the lowest central exam score announced for special talent programs in ÖSYS/YKS of the relevant year (universities reserve the right to conduct special talent exams if they wish),
• Those who enroll by having their associate degree education from higher education institutions in our country counted in the undergraduate programs of higher education institutions abroad also meet the above conditions.

They must provide.

1. Students coming to our country from Ukraine, including those who applied for a program in Ukraine and studied in the required preparatory class for that program, will be able to apply for horizontal transfer to associate degree programs, provided that they meet their YGS/TYT scores in the year they enrolled in the relevant higher education program and the base score of our vocational school's program in that year.
2. Turkish and foreign students who have registered for the diploma program in Ukraine with international exam results (SAT1, ACT, Abitur, French Baccalaureate, GCE A Level Certificate, International Baccalaureat IB, Austrian Matura Diploma (Matura Reifezeugnis), Italian Maturita Diploma (Diploma di Maturita) must have met the minimum score requirement in the international exams accepted by our university in the relevant year for the program to which they will apply for horizontal transfer.
3. Candidates who will apply for horizontal transfer to diploma programs that do not require a success ranking will be required to have their university in the first thousand in the lists of ranking bodies mentioned in the ÖSYS/YKS guide.
4. In evaluating students' horizontal transfer applications, their scores in the national and international exams taken as a basis during their registration will be taken into account.
5. Students who are enrolled in a recognized higher education institution in Ukraine in the fall semester of the 2021-2022 academic year and before and who meet the above conditions, Friday, 11-15 April 2022 They must apply to the relevant higher education institutions together with the documents required for horizontal transfer by the end of working hours.
6. Applications will be made to the Halıcıoğlu Campus Student Affairs Department. During the application, you must submit the horizontal transfer application petition. (click here) Candidates who complete the application must submit documents showing their student certificate, apostilled original transcript, notarized Turkish translation of the course contents, a letter stating that there is no disciplinary penalty, student ID card of another institution, passport and entry-exit records obtained from the police, as an attachment to the petition.
7. Candidate students whose applications were approved and gained the right to enroll, 2021-2022 The program fee determined for the academic year will be charged.

*Important Note: Important Note: Foreign national candidates must have their application documents translated into Turkish.

Students who have not obtained the right to transfer but are registered in the formal education program of a higher education institution in Ukraine can apply to our university programs as special students, and students registered in open education programs can apply to open education programs as special students.

* Students in this situation;

• The student must have achieved the minimum placement score of the relevant program in the year of registration for the program in which he/she is applying for special studentship.
• It is necessary to meet the general academic achievement score required for private studentship.
• The student must meet the minimum semester/year requirement in the program in which he/she is registered.
• Approval of the university where the student is registered must be obtained for private student status.

1. Students who will receive education as special students are subject to the legislative provisions of our university regarding course attendance, examination, success evaluation and discipline.
2. Students enrolled in a diploma program, including the preparatory class, can apply for special studentship.
3. The total ECTS credits of the courses that a private student can take in a semester should not exceed the maximum ECTS credit limit that can be taken in a semester determined in the regulations and directives of the university.
4. Students studying as private students are given an approved document at the end of the semester showing their achievements such as ECTS credits and exam results for the theoretical/applied courses they have taken.
5. Applications will be made to the Halıcıoğlu Campus Student Affairs Department. During the application, the special student application petition (click here.) Candidates who fill out the application must attach the following; Attached to the petition, they must submit a student certificate, an original transcript with apostille stamp, a notarized Turkish translation of the course contents, a letter stating that there is no disciplinary penalty, a student ID card of another institution, a passport and documents showing entry and exit records obtained from the police.
6. Candidates who have the right to register as a special student, 2021-2022 The program fee determined for the academic year will be charged.
